Commission on Church Life
At Reid Temple, we believe that all things are possible through Christ, and we have Faith that God will guide our paths in all our ministry activities. We also believe that no ministry program is complete unless it also includes an assessment component. That is why the Commission on Church Life ministries in particular are tasked not only to carry out a wide variety of programs, services, and activities—they are also held accountable for evaluating the effectiveness of their efforts, changing the course of action or prayer when necessary, and making improvements as needed. We take seriously our members’ and visitors’ comments and suggestions about church programs and activities, especially those that relate to how well Reid Temple serves YOU. We want to keep you as part of Our Christian Family.

Commission on Evangelism and Outreach
Reid Temple’s Commission on Evangelism and Outreach is the organizational arm by which those members of the church who are called to take up the cross of evangelism and outreach can best serve as disciples of Christ. Those who minister through this Commission implement a Bible plan that is tailored by the Master to lift up and recover lost souls in the communities they serve. Whether those populations are poor, homeless, or hungry; sick or shut-in; incarcerated behind physical bars or barriers of their own making; drug- or alcohol-dependent; or near or far away—the members of our Evangelism and Outreach ministries are busy about the Lord’s work, spreading the Good News wherever they walk in Christ.
Commissioner: Sis. Peggy Edwards (Glenn Dale)
Commission on Missions and WelfareThe Commission on Missions and Welfare oversees, supports, facilitates, and evaluates our church’s efforts to address the needs of those who are in need. Reid Temple members who minister through this commission are called to assist members who are experiencing financial and non financial hardship, They also follow the Great Commission by going out into the communities to seek and save those who are lost spiritually. They are continually surveying the status of local and global communities to determine what kinds of outreach and support would best serve and elevate those in need. They implement a number of programs designed to uplift both the giver and the receiver of God’s great bounty and to restore lost souls to Christ. They also routinely assess the impact of their actions and prayers, guided by Scripture to determine whether the yield is great or small and making changes accordingly.

COMMISSION ON PUBLIC RELATIONS
The Commission for Public Relations shares in the church vision of the 5E’s with a specific focus in the Evangelism portion of the five-fold vision of The 5 E's. The Public Relations Commission promotes the Spirit led activities and ministries of the church. Reid Temple's Public Relations Commission is the arm of the church charged with spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ using online and offline media methods. We also assist and empower Reid Temple ministries to do the same. Ministry workers use gifts and skills in public relations, advertising, graphic design, writing, photography, social media as well as knowledge in website design, maintenance and implementation.
